Due to the location, it shouldn't be a tough sell if they just clear their loan and the buyer gets a fire sale price. There are security issues there, as well as the lack of a gas and diesel fuel dock.

Now if California would only follow Florida's example and put a $18,000 cap on sales taxes for any size of boats, Bay Yachts at the Waterfront Warehouse marina facility would be selling mega-yachts that would stay in the Delta, instead of having to go three miles off shore and sign the contract for ultra-expensive boats, and move them to Mexico or Oregon. But California politicians don't see the benefits of LOWERING TAXES, only raising them to chase away business. Florida knows if they keep the big boats there, these wealthy owners spend money on everything from fuel to flowers, which yield more sales tax than can be gained from a one time sale on the yacht itself.Gene Beleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11984617194521691518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8236405782975490260.post-43334247162054232822012-07-20T10:50:29.461-07:002012-07-20T10:50:29.461-07:00It's a loan from the state dept. of boating an...It's a loan from the state dept. of boating and waterways.Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10344751623916759400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8236405782975490260.post-60294547914503631922012-07-20T07:19:47.470-07:002012-07-20T07:19:47.470-07:00Jeff: When I lived in Bodega Bay in the late 1980&...Jeff: When I lived in Bodega Bay in the late 1980's -early 1990's it was asserted by a business man to me that Sonoma County defaulted on the state of California loan for the marina in Bodega Bay. The marina failed owing to the failure of the salmon industry there, was the story. I wonder if Sonoma Co. did default. Is the Stockton Marina loan from the State of California or ?Fixed Carbonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06321707907871138659noreply@blogger.com
